Privacy Policy

The National Privacy Principles Act offers privacy protection to individuals when dealing with private organizations. As an employment agency we collect and store sensitive information, such as employment histories, reference checks, bank account and taxation details (for temporary staff). The information held in your file is entirely confidential and handled in a private manner. All our staff are employed with the understanding that an individual's privacy is respected.

Access to your records

Staff employed by Sinclair Recruitment can only access your file. If a position becomes available that you are suitable for your details are only sent to the client after we have received your permission to send it. If you require copies of your records or wish to have your records removed from our database please notify your consultant in writing

Internal records

Your taxation, bank account details, address and phone number are used for internal requirements only, such as payroll, superannuation or to keep you updated with positions available. Your photo may be taken prior to the interview with your consultant. This photo is for internal reference only and will not be shared with any third party.

Reference checking

Our clients require reference checks on any candidates submitted for available positions. Reference checks can only be conducted with persons nominated by you. As per our client requirements, referees should be a current or previous employer/ manager who would have supervised you on a daily basis.

Complaint process

In the unlikely event you feel your privacy has been breached, complaints about alleged breaches of privacy should be made in writing to Kay Sinclair, CEO. A reply will be forthcoming within 60 days.
